Candy Cane Sale

The annual CMS candy cane sale runs up to Friday December 9th. All proceeds go to the family of officer Scott Bashioum. Purchase your candy canes in homebase today.

Anti-Bullying Video

Students from Canonsburg Middle School stand up to bullying by making an anti-bullying parody video to Justin Bieber's song Baby.

Here are a few dates to keep in  mind for the next week or so:

10/21 - Wear pink day

10/25 - Last day of the marking period. All late or missing assignments need to be turned in by the end of the day.

10/26 -  Student Council night at Max and Erma's in McMurray.  Max and Erma's will donate 20% of your check total to the CMS Student Council

Reminders for the week

Here are a few reminders for the next couple of weeks:

Activity Night: This Friday October 7th is the Canonsburg Middle School Activity Night. Tickets will be passed out to the students on Thursday during school. The activity night is at the high school and will run from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm. Please be prompt when picking your children up from the high school.

Theme Days: This Friday October 7th is wear pink day at Canonsburg Middle School. The home base with the most participants will win a student council sponsored pizza party.

Early Dismissal: There will be a two hour early dismissal on Friday October 14th for the students at Canonsburg Middle School. Please make appropriate arrangements.

Reminders for the week

Here are a few reminders about his week:

Open House - Tuesday 9/13 is Open House at CMS from 6:00 until 8:00. Please remind your parents.

Activity Night - The 7th grade activity night is October 7th, 2016. Tickets are on sale during homebase from 9/20 - 9/23 and are $4.00 a piece.

Picture Day - Thursday 9/15 is picture day for 7th graders. Please remember to bring in your picture form and money on Thursday.

Fit Day - Friday 9/30. Check the weather and make sure all students are wearing appropriate clothes. The majority of the day will be spent outdoors.

Titan T-Shirt

The Titans are currently selling our T-Shirts for the 2016-2017 school year. Order forms were given out by your home base teacher and is due Wednesday, August 31st. Shirts will cost $12.00.

Theme Day Friday August 26th

This Friday is wear blue and gold day. The homebase with the most students participating in this theme day will win a pizza party lunch sponsored by the Canonsburg Middle School Student Council. Remember to wear your Canon Mac colors this Friday and support your school.

PSSA's

The PSSA's start the week of April 11th here at Canonsburg Middle School. Please make sure your students are getting a good night's rest and have a healthy breakfast to start the day. Students will not be permitted to bring a phone, e-reader or smartwatch into the classrooms when taking the test. Students should bring a book to read should they finish the assessment early.

Students of the Month - March 2016

The Titan teachers would like to congratulate the students who earned the Titan of the Month for the month of March. Great job this month. Keep up the hard work.

Coin Wars

The annual student council "Coin Wars" fundraiser runs from March 2nd - March 11th. The school goal is to raise $1,500 dollars for a charity. Please bring in any extra change you may have to your homebase teacher during the dates above. Winning home base receives a lunch from Olive Garden or a free pizza lunch. Good luck.

Empty Bowls

Canonsburg Middle School continues its fundraising through our Empty Bowls events. Students can pay $5.00 to receive dinner, a student created ceramic bowl filled with soup and crackers and dessert. This is a great event. Tickets are on sale now and dinner will run from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm on Thursday January 28th. We hope to see you there.

End of the Marking Period

As a friendly reminder the last day of the second nine week marking period is Thursday Jan 21st. All missing assignments or extra credit opportunities should be turned in by then.

Students will also begin their new electives for period 3/4 starting on Monday. Students who did not have gym during the first semester will now have gym for the remainder of the year.
